Stabbing Incident in Chynadyevo: Woman Hospitalized
A 40-year-old woman has been hospitalized with knife wounds following a violent incident in Chynadyevo, where local medical authorities notified the police.
Investigations revealed that the woman’s 47-year-old partner, originally from the Chernivtsi region, is suspected of being involved in the attack. According to reports, the conflict stemmed from longstanding animosities between the couple. During a heated argument, the man allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman in the abdomen. The weapon was subsequently found in the yard near the scene of the incident.
The suspect was apprehended at the train station in Mukachevo, where he attempted to flee the area while intoxicated. A medical examination confirmed his blood alcohol level at 1.36 per mille.
Currently, the detainee is being held in a temporary detention facility. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against him under Article 121, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to willful severe bodily harm and carries a potential penalty of up to eight years in prison. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and details surrounding the case.
