TravelPerk Expands U.S. Presence with Acquisition of AmTrav
TravelPerk, a leading platform for booking corporate travel, has announced its strategic acquisition of Chicago-based startup AmTrav, aimed at enhancing its presence in the U.S. market. Following the acquisition, AmTrav will continue to operate under its established brand, and the current team will remain intact.
In order to finance this acquisition and facilitate further expansion, TravelPerk secured $135 million in credit financing from prominent financial firms Blackstone and Blue Owl. Avi Meir, the CEO and co-founder of TravelPerk, expressed confidence that this move will significantly bolster the company’s market share in the United States. He anticipates that the acquisition will double TravelPerk’s revenues in the U.S., positioning the country as the company’s most profitable region by the year 2026.
