Road Accident in Volodymyr: Hit-and-Run Incident Involving Child
A road incident took place on 20-Lypnia Street in Volodymyr, where an unidentified driver of a Nissan Sunny was reported to have reversed into a 9-year-old girl who was walking on the sidewalk. The driver fled the scene following the accident.
Fortunately, the young girl sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. Local police acted swiftly to identify the driver, discovering that he was a 57-year-old resident of the Novovolynsk community.
As a consequence of this incident, the vehicle involved has been confiscated, and the driver now faces criminal charges under Article 286, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event, underlining the importance of road safety and accountability for drivers.
