New Theatrical Project «Man and Time» Launches in Kyiv, Celebrating the Works of Vasyl Stus and Lyudmyla Kostiuk
A new theatrical initiative titled «Man and Time» is set to captivate audiences in Kyiv, aiming to deepen the appreciation of the artistic legacies of revered Ukrainian figures Vasyl Stus and Lyudmyla Kostiuk. Organized by the creative workshop led by Lena Lazovysh, this project seeks to illuminate the profound contributions of both Ukrainian and global cultural icons.
Running until April, «Man and Time» offers a rich program that includes performances dedicated to extraordinary personalities, alongside poetry evenings designed to engage and inspire the community. The project is particularly focused on exploring and reinterpreting personal experiences through the lens of the remarkable lives of these influential artists.
Three notable events are scheduled for March, each celebrating the artistry and spirit of its namesakes:
- A theatrical performance titled «Vasyl Stus. Orpheus’s Song» promises to deliver a poignant portrayal of the poet’s life and struggles.
- An evening dedicated to the poetry of Lyudmyla Kostiuk invites attendees to immerse themselves in her powerful verses.
- The month culminates in a gathering featuring contemporary Ukrainian poets, showcasing the vibrancy of today’s literary scene.
Through these diverse events, «Man and Time» aims to foster a deeper understanding of the intertwining of personal and artistic narratives, resonating with audiences and encouraging reflection on the artistic heritage that shapes Ukrainian culture. As Kyiv’s cultural landscape continues to evolve, this project serves as a vital platform for dialogue and connection among artists and their audience.
