Ministry of Finance Addresses Delays in Water Supply Construction Payments
The Ministry of Finance has provided an update regarding the delays in payments for the construction of a new water supply system following the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. Currently, documents necessary for processing payments for the completed work have not been submitted to the State Treasury, despite the budget program being approved.
Funding Details for the Water Supply Project
Funded by the State Budget through the Fund for Liquidation of Consequences of Armed Aggression, the water supply project has been allocated 8.5 billion hryvnias, with 8.3 billion hryvnias utilized within the current year. The Restoration Agency has disbursed 89% of funds to contractors as an advance for the construction of main water pipelines across various regions.
In light of the completed work, the project cost has been adjusted to 13.4 billion hryvnias, with the government allocating additional funding to ensure the project’s completion by the end of 2024.
