Local Resident Detained for Assisting Russian Forces in Kharkiv Region

In the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region, a 59-year-old collaborator has been detained for transporting Russian occupants in a school bus, according to Vladislav Abdula, a representative of the regional SBU (Security Service of Ukraine).

Authorities established that the suspect repainted the bus green and adorned it with Russian symbols following the occupation of the area. The bus was utilized to transport occupying forces and was also reportedly used to deliver weapons and ammunition from Russia, conveniently parked in the suspect’s yard.

As Russian troops retreated, they seized the collaborator’s bus for the evacuation of personnel and equipment. However, after the area was liberated, the perpetrator attempted to flee to a neighboring settlement but was located and apprehended by law enforcement.

The collaborator has been charged with aiding the aggressor, facing a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison. He is currently in custody pending further investigation.
