Ukrainian Defense Forces Successfully Intercept Majority of Enemy Drones, One Strikes Residential Building
In a significant military engagement, Ukrainian Defense Forces have reported the successful interception of seven out of eight enemy kamikaze drones launched towards Odessa. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the Ukrainian military to secure its airspace against aerial threats.
During the night, one of the intercepted drones maneuvered dangerously near the town of Kotovsk and ultimately crashed into a nine-story residential building, causing damage to part of the building’s entrance. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties resulting from this incident.
In total, Ukrainian forces have downed 14 hostile strike drones overnight across various regions of the country, showcasing their enhanced aerial defense capabilities. Early reports from the Armed Forces of Ukraine also indicate the downing of another Russian Sukhoi Su-34 fighter aircraft in the Donbas region, further highlighting the intense aerial confrontations in the ongoing conflict.
