Massive Missile Strike Intensifies Concerns in Lviv Region
In a recent escalation of military aggression, the Lviv region of Ukraine came under a substantial missile attack as part of a broader offensive by Russia across the country. Maxim Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, provided updates through Telegram regarding the incidents that unfolded.
Among the affected locations was an industrial facility in Drohobych, where significant structural damage was reported. Large flames engulfed an area of approximately 300 square meters, prompting an urgent response from firefighting teams who worked diligently to contain the fire.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries related to the attack. Kozytskyi noted that air defense forces successfully intercepted one missile in the Stryi district, highlighting the effectiveness of the region’s protective measures. «There are no injured individuals, and the damage is minimal,» he reassured the public.
In an update later in the morning, it was confirmed that the fire at the Drohobych industrial site had been extinguished. «By around 9:30 AM, the fire was brought under control. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire caused damage to the roof spanning 500 square meters and affected a waste collection vehicle. Fortunately, there were no injuries,» Kozytskyi added.
This incident underscores the ongoing risks faced by civilians and infrastructure in the Lviv region amid the persistent threat of military operations. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and provide timely updates to ensure the safety of residents.
