Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko Supports Ukrainian Forces with Drones and Communication Systems
Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko has made a significant visit to the front lines in Donbas, providing crucial support to Ukrainian soldiers engaged in active combat. During his visit, Klitschko presented troops with state-of-the-art technology to enhance their operational capabilities, including 100 FPV drones and two Starlink communication systems.
In a moving gesture of appreciation, Klitschko met with members of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he emphasized the importance of such donations in bolstering the morale and effectiveness of the forces. Additionally, the 24th Brigade received 50 drones and two Starlink systems to further support their missions.
Highlighting the dedicated efforts of the soldiers, Klitschko also awarded medals of honor—»Honor. Glory. State»—to several brave defenders, recognizing their commitment and courage in the face of adversity.
Moreover, two Starlink systems were allocated to the 5th Separate Assault Brigade, underscoring the ongoing need for advanced communication technology on the battlefield. With funding from the city budget, a considerable procurement of 150 Mavic drones, along with 300 FPV drones and additional Starlink systems, has recently arrived, aiming to enhance the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces.
In a statement reflecting on his visit, Klitschko shared, «The situation at the front is challenging. However, our defenders remain resilient, full of determination, and depend on our support. We will continue to provide assistance! Glory to Ukraine!»
