Collaborative Efforts for Conservation: Kharkiv Zoo and Feldman Eco-Park Unite
In these challenging times marked by conflict, the Kharkiv Zoo has provided sanctuary for chimpanzees, orangutans, and large predators evacuated from the Feldman Eco-Park. Both organizations are now joining forces to advance initiatives aimed at conserving endangered species, both in Ukraine and globally, while intensifying their efforts to protect animal welfare.
Revival and Resilience: Feldman Eco-Park Reopens After Devastating War
Following severe destruction caused by relentless shelling during the invasion, the Feldman Eco-Park has begun the gradual process of reopening. Since the summer, the park has not only resumed operations but has also started to rehabilitate numerous evacuated animals. In addition, the park has acquired a group of deer and roe deer, which are set to be released into the forests of Kharkiv that have been affected by the war.
The collaboration between these institutions symbolizes hope and resilience in the face of adversity, contributing significantly to the conservation landscape amidst the ongoing challenges. The community can look forward to seeing Marvel and other animals thrive as both the zoo and eco-park continue their vital work for animal protection and rehabilitation.
