Intensified Shelling Strikes Border Areas of Chernihiv Region

Russian military forces have launched a significant shelling campaign targeting the border areas of the Chernihiv region in Ukraine. The assault involved various kinds of weaponry and resulted in damage to communities within the Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia districts, with reports indicating a total of 32 explosive incidents.

According to the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Semenivka community experienced the brunt of the attacks, reporting 26 explosions linked to 120-mm mortars and artillery aimed toward the villages of Uhly and Aleksandrovka. Additionally, in the Horodnia community, a single explosion was recorded, likely attributed to an FPV drone, occurring near the village of Hasiachivka.

Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties among the local population as a result of the attacks. The situation remains under close monitoring by regional authorities, as concerns grow over the escalating conflict at the borders. Local communities are urged to remain vigilant as tensions continue to rise in the area.
