Dyson Launches Premium OnTrac Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation

British technology company Dyson has unveiled its entry into the premium audio market with the launch of its first full-size headphones featuring active noise cancellation, named OnTrac. The headphones will retail at a price of £449.99 ($582).

Dyson representatives highlighted that the OnTrac headphones boast an impressive battery life of up to 55 hours on a single charge. Additionally, customers will have the option to choose from a range of colors and enjoy full customization of external caps and ear cushions.

While Dyson has previously introduced audio products, such as the Dyson Zone headset, the OnTrac headphones mark a significant step for the company into the realm of high-quality sound, positioning itself to compete with industry giants like Sony and Bose.

Furthermore, the company confirmed its commitment to investing £250 million in audio technology development over the next three years.

«Our goal in audio engineering is to deliver crystal-clear sound without any interference. Drawing on our 30 years of expertise in aeroacoustics, we have developed the Dyson OnTrac headphones, which offer exceptional active noise cancellation, remarkable sound quality, and unparalleled comfort for prolonged wear,» stated Jake Dyson, the company’s Chief Engineer.

As Dyson makes its mark in the competitive audio landscape, the OnTrac headphones represent not just a new product, but an ambitious push toward elevating the standards of sound technology, ensuring that fans of high-fidelity audio have a compelling choice to consider.
