New Musical Fountain Featuring Monkey Figures Opens in Kharkiv
A new musical fountain complete with monkey figures has officially opened in Taras Shevchenko Garden in Kharkiv, drawing attention from both residents and visitors alike. City council officials have announced the completion and unveiling of this vibrant attraction.
Over the winter, the fountain was protected with a special covering, which has now been removed, making way for its exciting debut. This unique fountain complex is designed with three levels and showcases 13 animated monkey musician figures that come to life with synchronized movements to a delightful musical score. The fountain’s installment was initially completed in the summer of 2019 in time for the city’s celebrations and was crafted by specialists from Turkey.
Kharkiv’s Central Park already boasts several active fountains, including whimsical ones shaped like children with umbrellas and a playful “Elephants” fountain for children, alongside another established in French Park.
Following a challenging period in 2022, where fountains were left idle due to shelling, operations have resumed in 2023, bringing vitality back to the park and offering residents a renewed source of joy with the arrival of the new fountain.
