State Property Fund Sells Historic Distillery for 60 Million Hryvnias

In a recent auction, the State Property Fund successfully sold the assets of the historic state-run «Zirne Distillery,» located in the picturesque village of Zirne in the Rivne region. The auction attracted interest from three potential buyers, with an initial lot price set at 18.77 million hryvnias. The bidding concluded with the victory of LLC «Business Factor Service,» which made a substantial offer of 60 million hryvnias.

The Zirne Distillery boasts a legacy of nearly 120 years and has a daily production capacity of 2,300 decaliters. Its portfolio includes 52 real estate properties, such as workshops, storage facilities, garages, and four parcels of land. Additionally, the plant maintains a fleet of 31 vehicles to support its operations.

Despite its rich history and significant assets, the distillery faces considerable financial challenges, struggling with debts amounting to 86.5 million hryvnias owed to creditors. The auction not only highlights the ongoing transformation in the management of state properties but also raises questions about the future operations and financial recovery strategies for such historically significant enterprises.
