Ukrainian Border Guards Monitor Situation at Border with Belarus

Ukrainian border guards have not detected any sudden changes at the border with Belarus, despite the readiness check of military units and formations of the Belarusian Armed Forces. According to the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, there is no increase in military forces or movement of equipment or personnel near the border. Belarus regularly conducts training and readiness checks of its forces, but currently Russia does not deploy any military units in this direction that could be used against Ukraine.

«The situation at the border is stable, but we must be prepared for any possible developments. Our task is to ensure the security of the border and border territories,» Demchenko emphasized.

Yesterday, a sudden readiness check of military units of the Belarusian Armed Forces began in the Brest and Gomel regions, which border Ukraine. Ukrainian border guards continue to monitor the situation closely.
