Delays in Promised Military Aid
Ukraine is expecting to receive its first F-16 fighter jets in the near future, however, a significant part of the promised military aid from abroad is arriving with delays.
Gratitude for Assistance
Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umerev expressed gratitude for the assistance and weapons provided by partners but mentioned that only half of the promised deliveries have arrived on time. Each delay creates an advantage for a stronger and better-armed enemy.
Importance of Timely Deliveries
«Time is a key factor, and in order to repel attacks, we need the deliveries to be made on time,» Umerev emphasized. He also noted that Ukraine needs «as many F-16s as it can get.» Currently, the focus is on training personnel, pilots, infrastructure, as well as engaging operational and repair teams.
