The Verkhovna Rada Considers Increasing Electricity Imports

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is considering the possibility of increasing the import of electricity from Moldova and Romania to provide the population with light and warmth this winter. MP Volodymyr Moroz explained that Ukraine plans to increase the import of electricity by 500 megawatts to ensure stable energy supply. Moldova and Romania have also expressed readiness to develop regional electrical connections to jointly ensure energy supply in the region.
