A fire incident at Brody railway station

A fire broke out in a commuter train at the Brody railway station on May 15, as reported by the Lviv Media publication.

Quick response by Lviv railway workers

The incident occurred around 09:10 in the morning. Lviv railway workers discovered that the electric train, which was at the station, started emitting smoke. The cause of the smoke is believed to be a technical malfunction. The railway workers immediately called firefighters, and with the help of a switch engine, they moved the commuter train to a dead-end track.

No injuries reported, slight delay for freight train

By around 09:50, the firefighters managed to stop the smoke emission from the electric train. As a result of the incident, none of the railway workers were injured, however, due to the fire extinguishing operation at the station, a freight train was delayed by 1 hour and 40 minutes.
