Man Detained in Kyiv for Walking with a Knife

In the capital, patrol officers detained a man who earlier in the evening went for a walk along Khreshchatyk with a knife in his hand. The incident occurred on April 24, when a local resident informed the police about a suspicious person with a sharp object in the center of Kyiv.

Patrol officers promptly responded to the call and found a man matching the description, who, upon seeing them, threw the knife in the trash and tried to escape, but was apprehended.

Later it turned out that the detained man may be connected to other criminal incidents in the city. Patrol officers requested an operational group to the scene for further investigative actions.
