The online round table on volunteer firefighting movement in Ukraine
The online round table dedicated to the development of the volunteer firefighting movement in Ukraine and sharing success stories took place on May 31st. The event brought together representatives from 7 communities who have successfully initiated the creation and active development of volunteer firefighting teams (VFT) with the support of the International Solidarity Fund (FSM).

During the meeting, participants discussed their experience in creating and operating VFTs, as well as highlighted the issues and prospects for the development of this movement.

A success story of a VFT from the village of Blahodatne, presented by village head Dmytro Shevchenko and VFT chief Maxim Masiuk, generated special interest. They shared their experiences and challenges in creating and developing VFTs.
The project «Firefighters. Strengthening the capacity of Ukrainian communities through the creation of volunteer firefighting teams» is implemented with the support of the Polish Development Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Office of Programs.
