Electricity consumption spikes in Ukraine
Electricity consumption in Ukraine has sharply increased due to the cold weather, with levels exceeding those of the previous day by 6.5%. As a result, additional blocks at thermal power plants need to be switched on, but this is currently impossible due to shelling by Russian military forces.
Yesterday, the daily maximum consumption was reached at 9:00 pm, surpassing Monday’s peak by almost 2%. To address this issue, the press service of «Ukrenergo» is calling for restrictions on the use of powerful energy-consuming devices from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
