On Friday, July 12, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal made a working visit to the Kharkiv region, where he visited the village of Staryi Saltiv in the Chuhuiv district. He personally inspected the process of restoring residential buildings, clinics, and a lyceum, and met with local residents.
«We have inspected the reconstruction process and talked to local residents. Reconstruction is being carried out according to the principle of ‘better than it was’: facades are being insulated, engineering networks are being replaced, and accessibility standards are being taken into account. This year alone, the Government has allocated 1.7 billion UAH for the elimination of the consequences of Russian aggression in the Kharkiv region,»
Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel.
Also this week, ministers visited the Kharkiv region, including Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine — Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, and Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ.
It is worth noting that at the end of June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to organize working trips for ministers to the regions, with a special focus on the frontline areas.
«At the end of these trips, the Government members will report on the situation in key areas. Social sphere, energy, defense, preparation for the academic year, medicine, shelters, infrastructure, production — all of this is in the focus of the Government. Based on the results of this work, regional and off-site Government meetings will be held to discuss the problematic issues of certain regions,» explained Shmyhal.
