Prices for fish on the rise in Ukraine

Major network stores in Ukraine have reported a significant increase in prices for various types of fish, according to a recent analysis by the portal «Minfin».

In the first month of summer, the price tag on fish, including fresh-frozen and slightly salted varieties, has seen a rise. Live carp, for example, now costs 174 hryvnias per kilogram, up from the previous price of 167.36 hryvnias. The gutted variant of carp is now priced at 204 hryvnias per kilogram.

Additionally, the price of slightly salted herring has increased from 157.74 hryvnias to 164.33 hryvnias per kilogram. Fresh-frozen mackerel is now priced at 139 hryvnias per kilogram, compared to the previous 136.86 hryvnias.
