Key Issues to be Discussed at Upcoming NATO Summit
At the upcoming NATO summit in July, several key issues are planned to be discussed. However, specific dates for Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance will not be talked about at this time. This was announced by the head of the Military Committee of the bloc, Admiral Rob Bauer, in an interview with The Washington Post, as reported by FREEДОМ.
Plan for Ukraine’s Closer Cooperation with NATO
According to Bauer, allies first want to consider a plan that will allow Kyiv to come closer to NATO. The plan includes further training of Ukrainian soldiers, supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with necessary resources, as well as the future of Ukrainian defenders after the war.
«The first three aspects are already being discussed within the ‘Ramstein’ format. If all 50 countries coordinate efforts through NATO, this will be an important step towards even closer cooperation between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Alliance,» Bauer noted.
