Norwegian Entrepreneur Plans Male Footwear Workshop in Ukraine
A promising venture is on the horizon for the Borodyanska community in the Odessa region of Ukraine, as Norwegian entrepreneur Nur Ahmad Juvel announces plans to open a men’s footwear workshop in the village of Yevhenivka. Juvel has expressed his intent to invest approximately one million euros into this project, which promises to create around thirty new jobs for local residents.
During a recent visit to the community, Juvel met with the local head, Ivan Kyusse, who shared insights about the initiative. Kyusse revealed that the community offers an old two-story building previously used by border guards. The building is set to be assessed and sold to Juvel, who plans to renovate the space to accommodate the footwear workshop.
In addition to the footwear venture, Juvel, originally from Bangladesh, is exploring opportunities to establish a milling production facility. His plan entails sourcing grain from local farmers and processing it into flour for export, alongside oil production.
Adding to his efforts in promoting local investment, Juvel intends to create a promotional video about Bessarabia for Norwegian television. This initiative is aimed at drawing further investments into Ukraine and the Borodyanska community, showcasing the region’s potential and opportunities to a broader audience.
As Juvel’s plans unfold, the local community looks forward to the economic benefits and employment opportunities that these projects may bring, marking a significant step towards development and prosperity in the region.
