Inadequate Medical Care Identified in Ternopil Region
In Ternopil region, the National Health Service of Ukraine recently conducted a monitoring of medical institutions under the Program of Medical Guarantees. The monitoring revealed serious issues in providing medical care to patients with strokes.
According to NSHU Chairman Natalia Husak, automatic monitoring in Ternopil region showed a concerning low level of thrombolytic therapy application at Kremenets District Hospital. Additionally, at Chortkiv Central City Hospital, a lack of essential records in the electronic health system regarding licensed neurovisualization equipment was discovered.
Husak emphasized the significance of NSHU monitoring in ensuring the quality of medical care under the Program of Medical Guarantees, particularly for patients with heart attacks and strokes. She highlighted the crucial nature of timely and comprehensive medical care provision, as it directly impacts the quality of life of patients.
