In the Ukrainian Championship Match
In the 25th round match of the Ukrainian championship against Metalist 1925, midfielder Ruslan Chernenko of Obolon became one of the key players. His accurate strike in the 9th minute of the match brought an important advantage to the team and was already his third goal in 25 played matches in the UPL this season. This is the second time this spring that Chernenko has helped the team earn points with his productive actions: in the 21st round match against Polissya, his goal brought victory to the Kiev team.
Chernenko Reflects on the Game
Chernenko shared his thoughts on the match: «The first half was quite successful for us. We started the game aggressively and managed to score an early goal. In the second half, the opponents took the advantage, perhaps we didn’t work enough on the field. Our victory today could have secured us towards the end of the championship, but in football, anything can happen.»
