6-Year Prison Sentence for Illegal Drug Activities in Chernivtsi
Under the guidance of prosecutors in Chernivtsi region, a 26-year-old resident of Luzhany village has been sentenced to 6 years in prison with property confiscation (except for housing) for his involvement in the illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of psychotropic substances.
During the trial, it was revealed that the convicted individual was selling drugs using the «drop» method in Chernivtsi. The investigation found 10 zip-lock bags containing the synthetic drug PVP in his possession.
Until the verdict becomes legally binding, the convicted person will remain in custody. The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Chernivtsi district police department.
