Israel Outraged by ICC Decision
Israel is outraged by the International Criminal Court (ICC) plans to issue an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. President of Israel Isaac Herzog and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid expect that the leaders of the free world will condemn this move.
Israeli Foreign Minister Slams ICC
The Foreign Minister of Israel called the ICC prosecutor’s decision «outrageous» and «an uncontrollable attack» on the victims of terrorist attacks on October 7th and hostages in the Gaza Strip. He stated that while Hamas is committing crimes against humanity, the prosecutor is equating Israeli leaders with terrorists, which is historically disgraceful.
Israel Fights Back
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a special command center to combat the ICC’s decision, which aims to tie Israel’s hands and prevent it from defending itself. Yair Lapid also plans to appeal to the foreign ministers of leading countries to speak out against the prosecutor’s decision and not to enforce orders against Israeli leaders.
