The Vinnytsia City Council Receives International Grant for Heating System Upgrade
The Vinnytsia City Council is set to receive an international grant to enhance the heating system for a residential area located on Knyaziv Koriatoivychiv Street.
The grant agreement will bring investments from the «Sweden-Ukraine: Support for District Heating» Fund, managed by NEFCO, E5P, and Sida, to the communal enterprise «Vinnytsiamiskteploenergo.» This decision, according to Mayor Serhiy Morgunov, will significantly improve energy efficiency and heating services.
The project will focus on the district heating system in the neighborhood bordered by Pirohova, Matrosa Kishka, Knyaziv Koriatoivychiv, and Mariyi Lytvynenko-Volhemut streets. Construction works are expected to begin next year, with the installation of 97 individual heat points to reduce heat losses and consumption.
This initiative follows Vinnytsia’s successful collaboration with international funds on a similar project in the Kyivska-Ostapa Vyshnia streets neighborhood, where over 300 individual heat points were installed with NEFCO and Swiss Agency support.
