Illegal Channel for Conscripts Abroad Halted in Lviv Region

Law enforcement officers in the Lviv region recently put an end to the operation of an illegal channel set up by a local resident to send conscripts abroad. According to the police, the 29-year-old Lviv resident manipulated the data of drafted men in the system, allowing them to leave the country even during a state of war.

During a search of the suspect’s residence, material evidence and computer equipment confirming his criminal activity were seized by the authorities. The Lviv resident has been charged with committing a criminal offense under the article on illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, which carries serious consequences, including a punishment of 5 to 7 years of imprisonment.
