Ukraine’s National Guard Brigade «Azov» to Enhance «Defense of Ukraine» Curriculum for High School Students
The National Guard Brigade of Ukraine, known as «Azov,» is set to contribute to the modernization of the «Defense of Ukraine» curriculum, targeted at students in the 10th and 11th grades, according to the brigade’s press service.
Brigade members will train future instructors in military management theory, aligning with NATO standards. Participants of the course will gain exclusive insights from soldiers on contemporary military conflicts and the coordination of various armed forces within a unified operational management system.
«The primary goal of the instructors is to enhance the course program and present it to students in an engaging and practically useful format. Our instructors will impart this unique knowledge to their students during classes,» stated the press release.
The Ministry of Education and Science is conducting a comprehensive review of the «Defense of Ukraine» course. As part of the curriculum, students will acquire skills in first aid, marksmanship, navigation, basic combat tactics, communication, and collaboration in combat situations, along with an introduction to various military equipment and technologies. Educational institutions will also receive modern firearms, drones, simulators, and other instructional tools to support this enhanced curriculum.
This initiative aims to equip young Ukrainians with essential military knowledge and skills, thereby fostering a new generation prepared for the challenges of national defense.
