Russian Army Launches Attacks on Southern Ukraine
Today night, the Russian army launched combined attacks on the south of Ukraine. The regions most affected were the Odessa region and Kherson, where the enemy targeted its rockets at critical infrastructure and residential areas. According to the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kyper, the Russian terrorists aimed at strategic objects in the region. Fortunately, no civilians were harmed.
Furthermore, the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a criminal investigation has been initiated for violations of laws and customs of war (Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is currently being conducted by the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Prosecutor’s Office.
In addition, the Russian army attacked residential areas in Kherson. According to information from the National Police, the roof of a residential building caught fire. Rescuers found a victim who was transferred to medical workers. Due to repeated enemy shelling, firefighters had to return several times to extinguish the fire.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, also noted that last night Russian troops shelled the Dnipro district of Kherson with heavy fire. The occupiers shelled private houses and multi-storey buildings. As a result of the shelling, the buildings of the residents suffered damage.
