Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on War Duration
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview for the YouTube channel «BBC News Ukraine,» expressed his stance on the duration of the conflict in the Ukrainian war. He emphasized that no one would agree to a war that would last for many years, as it would result in numerous casualties and create difficulties for the world at large.
When asked about potentially remaining in office as president if the conflict lasts for another 10 years, Zelensky firmly stated that such a scenario is unrealistic and cannot be allowed to happen. He highlighted the need to find ways to end the conflict and prevent further loss of lives.
Zelensky also mentioned that he would be willing to hold elections if feasible, but in the event of a prolonged war, alternative solutions would need to be explored to resolve the situation.
