Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov spoke at the annual Aspen Security Forum, where he emphasized Ukraine’s determination to resist Russian forces, regardless of the internal political changes in the United States.
Ukraine’s Belief in U.S. Leadership
«Ukraine believes in the leadership of the United States and their support for their partners and allies. We will focus on military actions to defend our territory, regardless of the results of the elections in the U.S.,» he said.
Continued Defense Efforts
Umerov also stressed that Ukraine cannot stop defending its cities and infrastructure until it can strike military targets on Russian territory.
«We have expanded our mobilization efforts and will continue to fight to regain lost territories,» added the head of the Ministry of Defense.
