The trial has begun in Germany for a couple from Ukraine accused of the brutal murder and dismemberment of a Latvian citizen. The incident took place in the city of Nordhorn, according to Bild.

Details of the Case

According to the investigation, both Ukrainians have disabilities: the man lost one leg, and the woman moves around in a wheelchair. The incident occurred in mid-February, when during a dinner at their home, the Ukrainian couple killed the Latvian citizen and then dismembered his body.

The criminals took the body parts to the basement, where they sawed them up with a circular saw and then dumped them in the Ems-Vechte canal several hundred meters from their house. The police arrested the suspects two weeks after the murder.
