Law enforcement officers of the Anti-Drug Trafficking Department in Sumy Region have detained two individuals suspected of selling particularly dangerous narcotic substances. Police received intelligence about possible illegal activity on one of the streets in the city of Sumy and stopped a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman.
During the inspection, a package containing around 500 grams of the psychoactive substance «PVP salt», money, and a mobile phone were found in their possession. All items seized were taken by law enforcement officers and sent for examination to the Sumy Scientific and Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The detainees are being held under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and are suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, investigators from the Sumy District Police Department, together with the prosecutor’s office, are deciding on the preventive measure to be taken. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
