Taiwanese company unveils new unmanned boat inspired by Ukraine’s drone success
A Taiwanese company has revealed the FJ-002, a new unmanned boat inspired by Ukraine’s effective use of drones in the Black Sea. The FJ-002 is designed for tasks such as reconnaissance, mine clearance, and kamikaze missions, with potential for military applications.
Technical specifications of FJ-002
The FJ-002 measures 16.5 meters in length, 3.8 meters in width, and has a draft of approximately one meter. Capable of speeds exceeding 30 knots (55.56 km/h) and an autonomy of over 555.6 km, the boat carries 1300 liters of fuel. It can navigate autonomously without GPS or communication equipment, returning to base using its computational power.
Multi-functional capabilities
Equipped for mine sweeping, mine laying, and attacking enemy ships, the FJ-002 also serves to test sensors, jammers, and electronic intelligence technologies. This contributes to enhancing autonomous targeting, software management, and algorithms.
