Russian Troops Near Sumy Region

Russian troops, concentrated near the border with Sumy region, may initiate attacks similar to those that have already taken place in the north of Kharkiv region, according to the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko. He warns that although they currently do not have enough forces for a full-scale offensive on Sumy, the occupiers may carry out local attacks in order to create zones of active hostilities. This could stretch Ukrainian forces and hinder their concentration on more crucial frontlines. According to Demchenko, the Russians currently lack the forces to achieve strategic goals, but they are focused on tactical operations.
