Ukrainian Government Proposes Comprehensive Reforms for Central Heating Legislation
The Ukrainian government has unveiled a new legislative initiative aimed at overhauling the existing framework for central heating. This proposal, presented at the Verkhovna Rada, seeks to address significant issues of debt accumulation faced by enterprises operating within the heating, water supply, and wastewater sectors.
Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Parliament, highlighted the key components of the proposed law, which includes amendments to the existing «On Heat Supply» legislation. A primary focus of the reforms is on the mechanisms that govern the formation and establishment of tariffs for thermal energy.
