Consular Services for Ukrainian Men Abroad Suspended

In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that consular services for Ukrainian men abroad have been suspended. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pledged to provide clarification on the situation in the near future.

The Citizenship Service Center, known as «Passport Service,» has reported a halt in the issuance of ready documents to Ukrainians at foreign offices of the state enterprise «Document,» citing technical reasons for the disruption.

A statement from the center noted, «Unfortunately, due to technical issues, the issuance of ready documents at foreign branches of the state enterprise ‘Document’ has been temporarily suspended. However, applications for passport documents are being accepted as usual. Passport issuance remains available for children under the age of 12, as biometric verification is not required for this group.»

Furthermore, it has been announced that foreign representations will update the public about the resumption of document issuance services through all official channels of the state enterprise «Document.»

This announcement follows media reports indicating that some consulates have suspended services for men of conscription age. Reports from consulates in countries such as Poland, Spain, and Germany have confirmed a «temporary suspension» of document acceptance from men within the draft age.

Authorities encourage citizens to stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops.
