Consular services for Ukrainian men abroad to be suspended
According to reports, the provision of consular services to Ukrainian men abroad will be suspended. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs promises to clarify the situation.
During the preparation, information from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba’s social media page, the press service of the Center for Citizen Services «Passport Service,» and «Suspilne» were used.
What happened
Today, the Center for Citizen Services «Passport Service» announced that the foreign departments of the state enterprise «Document» have suspended the issuance of ready documents to Ukrainians due to technical reasons.
«Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, the issuance of ready documents in the foreign departments of the state enterprise «Document» has been suspended. The submission of application forms for passport documents is carried out in the usual mode. The issuance of passports is possible for children under 12 years old, due to the absence of the need for biometric verification,» the statement said.
They also promise that the foreign branches will inform about the resumption of the operation of document issuance systems on all official resources of the state enterprise «Document.»
This statement was preceded by reports in the media that in some consulates, services for men of conscription age have been suspended. For example, consulates in Poland, Spain, and Germany have reported a «temporary pause in the submission of documents from men of conscription age.»
