The repair of a strategic bridge in Kharkiv region nears completion

The repair of a strategic bridge located in the Chuhuivskyi district of the Kharkiv region is nearing completion, as reported by the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service.

It is expected that full traffic flow on the renovated bridge will resume in the summer of 2024. A significant amount of repair work has already been completed: damaged spans and supports were dismantled, new structures were installed, waterproofing and drainage were carried out, asphalt was laid, and fencing was installed. Currently, work is ongoing to arrange approaches to the bridge.

Experts emphasize the strategic importance of this bridge, as its restoration will significantly improve the logistics of humanitarian cargo and ensure faster movement of emergency aid to affected areas.

Currently, 19 bridges are actively being restored in the Kharkiv region. However, due to the constant threat of shelling or proximity to combat zones, work on other objects has not yet begun.

In total, 27 bridges and viaducts have been destroyed in the region. Temporary crossings and bypasses have already been arranged to ensure passage on all objects.
