In March 2024, the Ministry of Economy published the actual selling price of natural gas in Ukraine:
The price amounted to 11,621.27 hryvnias per 1,000 cubic meters excluding VAT, which is 4.6% lower than the previous month. Gas prices have been falling for the fifth consecutive month and are 1.6 times lower than a year ago. The average gas price is calculated according to the formula for the purposes of the Tax Code of Ukraine for the collection of rent for the use of subsoil.
NBU forecast for natural gas prices on the European market:
Prices are expected to gradually decrease. In 2024, prices will fall by 0.9% to $461.6 per thousand cubic meters, in 2025 by 10.8% to $411.8, and in 2026 by 12.2% to $361.5.
Gas price for the population in Ukraine:
Ukraine maintains a fixed gas price for the population at 7,960 hryvnias per thousand cubic meters (including VAT) due to the current moratorium on tariff increases during the war.
