Renaming of Streets and Lanes in Kharkiv
According to the announcement of the Kharkiv City Council, the corresponding order was signed by the mayor Igor Terekhov.
The street Bakulina has been renamed to Yevgeniy Yenin Street (in honor of the former first deputy minister of internal affairs of Ukraine who died in a plane crash in Brovary), Bilomorska Street — to Finnish Street, and Baikalska Street — to Snizhna Street.
Kronstadt Lane has been renamed to Chumackiy Lane, Kronstadtska Street — to Lithuanian Street, Altai Lane — to Windy Lane, and the entrance Trinkler — to Glysada Dzhusa entrance (in honor of the deceased Ukrainian military pilot Andriy Pilshchikov with the call sign «Dzhuss»).
Also, Krasnouralska Street has been renamed to Nyzhnia Street, Irtishska Street — to Merlinska Street, Irtishsky Lane — to Chepelsky Lane, Izhivska Street — to Saharna Street, and the homonymous alley bears the name Zajytochnoho.
Kolʹsʹkyy Lane will now be called Chervona Ruta Lane, Elbrussky Lane has been renamed to Bukovelsky Lane, and Yelninskyy Lane — to Krasyvy Lane.
