Argentina Transfers Mi-17 Helicopters to Ukrainian Navy

Argentina has transferred Mi-17 helicopters to the Ukrainian Navy, which were purchased from Russia. President Javier Milei has already sent two helicopters to Ukraine, which were originally bought in 2011. This information was reported in the Financial Times.

«Milei has made alliances with countries that prioritize freedom, such as the United States, Israel — which he recently visited, and Ukraine, to which he has transferred two Russian-made military helicopters,» the article states.

The two Arctic-modified helicopters were ordered from Russia in the early 2010s. The initial contract with Russia was larger, but Argentina decided to halt further purchases later on.

Summit Planned for Latin American Countries Supporting Ukraine

It was previously reported that President Milei intends to organize a summit of Latin American countries that support Ukraine in its resistance against Russian aggression.
