Samsung Phone Sales Trends in 2024
According to a new market research, Samsung phone sales in 2024 have decreased compared to previous periods, both on an annual and monthly basis. However, the company’s flagship models show signs of recovery and are selling well. In January 2024, sales dropped by 1% compared to January 2023 and by 11% compared to December 2023, but this includes phones from all price ranges.
Focus on Flagship Models
According to new data from Hana Securities, Samsung has reduced sales of budget and mid-range phones, but managed to increase sales of flagship models. In 2023, 31.11 million units of the Galaxy S23 were sold, surpassing the sales of the Galaxy S22 in 2022 by 24%. The Galaxy S24 series is also showing good results, breaking records for pre-orders in many countries.
Rise in Foldable Devices
Samsung’s foldable devices are also in demand, especially the Galaxy Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5 models, whose sales have increased on an annual basis.
