The Office of the President of Ukraine Nearing Finalization of Agreement with France on Security Guarantees

The Office of the President of Ukraine has announced that they are nearing the finalization of a bilateral agreement with France on security guarantees. During the visit of the French delegation to Kyiv, another round of negotiations took place, focusing on the revised draft of the agreement. The parties have moved closer to agreeing on specific elements of the document.

«Our negotiating teams today demonstrated significant progress and are nearing the finalization of the bilateral agreement,» said Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva.

It is expected that the agreement between Ukraine and France will be signed in the near future.

Germany Also Ready to Sign Security Partnership Agreement with Ukraine

The German agency Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung also reports on the readiness of the draft agreement on security partnership between Germany and Ukraine. The aim is to sign the intergovernmental agreement during the Munich Security Conference, which is scheduled for February 16.
